Under-Sink Organization Without Drilling

The under-sink cabinet is half storage, half plumbing hazard. P-traps, disposal bodies, and shutoff valves eat vertical space. The goal is modular bins, a drip plan, and nothing that requires landlord approval.
Measure the U-shape
Measure width at the top and bottom of the cabinet, depth to the back wall, and height in three columns: left of the drain, center clearance, right of the drain. Sketch the pipes. Your tallest stackable bin height = shortest vertical clearance minus a finger’s width for removal.
Stackable pull-out bins
Clear or solid stackable drawers let you see bleach versus dishwasher pods without unloading everything. Buy two shallow units instead of one deep cave—you’ll actually pull them forward. On Amazon, search “under sink organizer” but filter by height and depth from your notes.
Tension rod for spray bottles
A short tension rod across the upper cabinet suspends spray triggers, freeing the floor for buckets. Check that the rod doesn’t block shutoff valves you might need in an emergency.
Contain leaks before they ruin the floor
A cheap boot tray or flexible waterproof mat on the cabinet floor buys time when a bottle drips. Keep heavy items low; keep corrosive cleaners in trays, not loose.
Pair with kitchen storage
If the kitchen still feels tight, layer ideas from small kitchen storage for upper cabinets and doors.
